All About the Grit Cakes


Have you heard about them? If you haven’t, you should probably sit down. It’s the side item that everyone is talking about: Fried Grit Cakes, and yes, they are as fabulous as they sound. This side item combines the best of the south with the offerings of Cajun spices and sauces.

We take our grits, which alone are so very delicious, and pack them down flat into a baking sheet. Then the grits are cut into triangles and flash-fried to give them a crispy outside similar to a home-fry, but instead of a potato interior like a home-fry, our perfectly southern grits are inside. To finish them off, we lay about four of them on a plate and cover them in our Tasso ham cream sauce and garnish with chopped parsley.

Grit cakes are available as an upgraded side item with most of our entrees, but you can try them on us. We’re sure they won’t disappoint. Just #hookedonharrys to @hookedonharrys to try them during you next visit.
